Simple, natural ingredients married together to deliver a recipe that is truly 'sunshine in a glass'.

  • Medium-sized saucepan
  • Sieve
  • Pitcher
  • Stirring Spoon

Ingredients
  

  • Freshly squeezed juice of 6 lemons
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar can use unrefined cane sugar
  • 6 cups of sparkling water
  • Lemon slices for garnish
  • Ice cubes
  • A sprig of fresh mint optional, but desirable

Instructions
 

  • Over medium heat, mix sugar with 1 cup of water in a saucepan, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves. Cool this simple syrup.
  • Squeeze out the juice from the lemons, strain it if you prefer no pulp.
  • In a pitcher, combine the lemon juice, simple syrup, and sparkling water. Stir well.
  • Slap/bruise the mint (if using) to release the oil. Add to the lemonade.
  • Toss in some ice cubes, garnish with lemon slices, and serve chilled.
